Spicy Asian Slaw

This isn't like your typical coleslaw, or maybe even a slaw at all. I'm not a dictionary, don't ask me. If you need a crunchy, spicy side salad to go with your dinner this is an easy and cheap way to do it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup green cabbage, chopped to your preferred size
  • 1 cup red cabbage, chopped to your preferred size
  • ¼ cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup shredded cucumbers
  • ¼ cup shredded radish
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced chives
  • 1 tablespoon Citrus Inferno hot sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced red Thai chili (OPTIONAL: leave out for less heat)

Instructions

  1. Pat Dry Fruits and Veggies
Take everything but the hot sauce, and lightly pat them dry. This will help your slaw stay crunchy if you're making it in advance.

  2. Combine
Toss everything in a bowl and toss to combine. Personally I throw it in a plastic bowl with a lid and shake like crazy, but salad tongs are cool too.

  3. Enjoy!
It really is that easy. You can make this and store it in the fridge a couple of days in advance. Just pull it out when you're ready to serve!

Serving Suggestions

Tips for Serving: This goes great on the side of fish, chicken, or any substantial protein really.

Hot Tip!

For an extra kick, add more Citrus Inferno!

If you're planning to store this for an extended period of time, you can add the hot sauce right before serving to preserve as much crunch as possible.
